Q&A

What types of lessons do you offer?  We offer instruction in Piano, Voice, Guitar, Ukulele, Violin and Art.  All are available privately.  Some are also in groups.
Anything Else?  We’re glad you asked! We have an acting class for senior adults. We also offer a variety of summer camps for kids. We offer a music exploration and piano discovery class called Kiddy Keys for ages 3-6.
What if I want to learn a particular style of music? We will match you with a teacher that can help you reach your goals. A solid foundation will be built and you will be able to add in the styles of music you interested in and work at your own pace.
When are lessons held? You will have a lesson each week with a consistent day and time.  We have forty-five weeks of lessons or recitals (3) during the year. We are closed six weeks of the year for holidays (spring/fall break, one week in summer, Thanksgiving, and Christmas break). We are closed for July 4th, Memorial Day, and Labor Day. Some months will have four lessons, some five, and some only three. Tuition is the same each month.
What do lessons cost? The current prices are listed at www.northparkstudio.com/our-lessons.
Are there other costs? There is a onetime $35 registration fee upon enrollment. Additional family members can be added with a $15 registration fee. Your book and music fees are included in your tuition up to $50 per year. This is usually enough for beginners.  If you are moving quickly and need more music, the price  will be charged to your account.
Do you offer any discounts/incentives? There is a $10 discount for additional classes or additional family members   taking lessons. We occasionally offer   incentive contests throughout the year. We also offer incentives for referring your friends and family to the studio.
How are payments made for lessons? All payments are set up to be paid by auto-draft on the first of each month. You may set this up to auto-draft your checking  account or a credit or debit card. Your registration fee and first month may be paid by check, cash, or credit card in the studio. This payment must be received to secure your lesson day and time.
What happens if I need to miss a lesson? We understand that things come up and sickness happens.  Please let us know as soon as possible if you will be out.  If desired, you can request a video makeup lesson to do at home within 30 days of your missed lesson.
What if my teacher has to miss the lesson? In the event your teacher is ill or needs to miss your lesson, you will be assigned a substitute teacher for the lesson or we will call you to reschedule at a later time when your teacher is available.
Can I take off for the summer months? We teach lessons year-round and our teachers are employed all year.  You can take off for the summer, but we cannot guarantee that your day and time or your teacher will be available when you are ready to return.  It is a better choice to keep your spot and use video makeup lessons when you need to miss.
What if I need to discontinue lessons?  There is no long-term contract for lessons at our studio.  If you need to discontinue lessons, simply contact the studio by the 15th of the month to let us know so that we can turn off the   auto-draft payment on your account.
I’m ready to enroll! What’s the next step? Call the studio and let’s find an available time for your lesson. We can reserve that spot with just a few steps over the phone and then you can come in to fill out the registration form at your convenience.
